A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is needed to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. Under general supervision, this role involves delivering high-quality patient testing across all ages by utilizing expertise in radioactive materials, specialized imaging equipment, and patient-centered care. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with advanced Siemens C Cam and Siemens Intivo Spect/CT cameras in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities include reviewing provider orders, collaborating with Radiologists as needed, and completing all required documentation and exam result processes. The technologist will prepare, calibrate, and accurately administer radiopharmaceuticals via injection, ingestion, and inhalation. Proficiency in SPECT imaging is essential. Daily logging of activities, maintaining supply inventory, and conducting safety inspections alongside quality assurance testing of all equipment are key operational duties. Maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and self is critical.
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Certification and training as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Demonstrated experience using Siemens C Cam and Siemens Intivo Spect/CT cameras preferred
- Ability to perform SPECT imaging
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and quality assurance procedures
- Proficient in patient positioning and anatomy relevant to nuclear medicine imaging
- Excellent communication skills to consult with Radiologists and team members
